Survey of Family Woodland Owners in the Southern United States

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. World Resources Institute and our partners working on forestry issues in your state are eager to hear from you on a number of important issues related to management of small family woodlands. It should only take 20 minutes or so to fill out the questions and submit your responses. All responses will be kept strictly confidential and only used in combination with all other responses to help us generate critical data on economic issues associated with family woodland management throughout the South. We have no way of correlating your responses with your name and e-mail address, since our database does not store that information. We are only asking for that information so you can log back into the survey and change your entries if need be or complete the survey at a later time.

We will use the data gathered by this survey to help design programs to assist family woodland owners interested in conserving and sustainably managing their woodlands. It is important to answer the questions as accurately and honestly as possible, and not to overstate or understate economic values when they are requested. If there are any questions you do not want to answer, feel free to skip and move on to the next question. Thank you in advance for your participation. Look for the results of the survey to be posted on the WRI website in the next few months.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Talberth
